I first saw this line in the luggage department at a big box store and I picked it up after thoroughly inspecting both the 25" Seefeld and the 28" size with a slightly different design. I loaded this up with about 30lbs of clothing and electronics for a recent trip to Italy and it performed flawlessly. The depth of the main compartment is more than adequate for luggage of this size. The unique vertical design allows you to have the main compartment items secured while the luggage is open, allowing you to access the "lid" storage area. I am a fan of packing cubes and employed 5 different cubes in a tetris-like setup in the Seefeld to fit in three weeks worth of clothing, a pair of shoes, and two bulky travel towels - in addition to plug adapters, a toiletry duffle, and power cables.
The ability of this luggage to expand a couple of inches via the extra zipper is great - it eliminates the need to sit on the luggage to get it to actually close. I used all of the pockets and found them to be well placed. The zippers were strong and I didn't have any hesitation checking this bag for my flight to Italy.
Once in Italy, I dragged this bag all over the country - over cobblestone paths and up steep stairs in Turin, onto boats and over centuries-old footbridges in Venice, on to and off of trains, all over Florence, up and down stairs in Rome, through the rough streets of Naples, and all through the paths of Capri. Long story short - I subjected this bag and its wheels to absolute torturous conditions for luggage and it held up like a champ. It is still in great condition and I look forward to abusing it again in the future.
Also - I'm tight on storage space in my apartment so I was happy that I could place my old carry-on size luggage inside the Seefeld and zip it up without problems.
The only suggestion I would make for the Seefeld is to make it a spinner. It wouldn't have done me much good to have a spinner in Italy, but in the US it would be great.

By jadedfairy
First off let me say the warranty with bag is awesome. I purchased this upright while on a trip as I had bought more than planned. This bag fit a load of 1 wk of winter clothes, 2 coats and 3 pairs of boots = 49 lbs total. The swivel of the handle is a feature that reduces wrist strain which I guess is a compromise that the bag isn't a 360 spinner. On its first trip, however, the wheel was busted thanks to airport handling. However as i mentioned the warranty rocks and covers the fix 100%. It should be noted that the bag is not a complete rectangular shape, as the top has a u shape. This also means the base is squarish and doesn't match the top, so space at top is a bit limited (i found it tricky to pack as I had to distribute the bulk appropriately). The case also does NOT topple over in its upright position with a computer bag on top, yey! This bag will be my "yes-checking luggage" go to upright as its size is a bit too big for overhead compartments on USairways & Delta.
